What this website collects, and who holds it

This policy is about this website: what it collects when you browse it, write to me through it, or join the mailing list.
When you write to me through this site
The contact form asks for your first and last name, your email address, an optional phone number, and your message. It is delivered to me by a service called Formspree, which stores a copy, and arrives in my email inbox. I keep these messages as long as I need them to respond and to keep an ordinary record of enquiries.
When you join the mailing list
The signup form asks for your first name, an optional last name, and your email address. These are stored by MailerLite, the service that sends the emails. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can ask me to remove you at any time.
Visits to this site
I count visits so I know which pages people find useful. What is recorded is the page visited, the site or search engine you arrived from, your general location by country or region, and the kind of device. This uses no cookies, does not identify you, does not follow you to other websites, and is not used for advertising.
My hosting provider, Vercel, also keeps ordinary server records, including IP addresses, to operate and protect the site.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies of its own. Some pages include videos hosted by YouTube, embedded in its privacy-enhanced mode; if you press play, YouTube may set its own cookies.
Booking and intake forms
Booking and the intake paperwork that goes with it happen in Jane, a separate system with its own privacy policy. What you enter there is held by Jane, not by this website.
Where this information is held
Some of these services store information on servers outside Canada, including in the United States, where local laws may allow authorities access to it.
Your choices
You can ask me what information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. You can unsubscribe from the mailing list at any time. Write to me at connect@vanessadeverell.com.

If this policy changes, the date at the top will change with it.
